Me Time

Happiness is viral. So here, I want to share my happiness with everyone to spread it more and more.

My little son keeps me happy with his tantrums throughout the day. Yet, I am addicted to my me time. The day I don’t have the time for myself is a bad day for me. I tend to get frustrated when I don’t have time for myself. Here’s what I do when I talk about me-time, this keeps me happy and contented even when I feel blue:

Prayer:

When I pray and connect with Almighty, I feel a magical bliss and peace within my soul. Prayer is not to ask something from God, but to talk and express your own love for God. I don’t follow any particular religious methods, I simply close my eyes and do mantra chanting and meditation to connect with God. Being a follower of my spiritual master, Anandmurti Gurumaa, I have learned to actually pray without asking for anything. It is only through prayer one can hear what God speaks in the silence of heart.

Sketching:

Any art is bliss and can be gained through practice and patience. Give yourself a new way of being happy. When I sketch, I feel focused and in good spirits. My mind gets rid of all unwanted and silly thoughts. I feel great happiness creating a new piece. My little one tries his hand on drawing too. Pablo Picasso rightly said, ‘’the purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.” After you finish reading this post, please take a paper and pencil and try sketching any object that attracts you.

Writing:

It might not be everyone’s cup of tea; however, anyone can become a better writer by learning and practicing. Writing is an art that best comes out in solitude. My catchphrase is pen, paper and plot pleases me lot. I can release my stress and emotions through writing. And if on the off chance, you don’t want to write, you may keep reading what I write. Haha – the point is to be happy.

Life is too short to be happy. You may also live longer if you keep yourself happy. So, why worry, be frustrated or be angry. The pleasure is within us, we need to find it ourselves Do whatever you love doing and explore new ways of bringing pleasure to your life. When life becomes too busy, cut off some time from your busy schedule to be with yourself. Be happy and spread happiness all around.
