Curious about helping people grow?

When I first started designing and hosting workshops and circles about 7 years ago, I would ask others in my field, "how can I become a better facilitator?"

The answer was essentially the same across the board: "Facilitate."

While this is absolutely true on so many levels, it wasn't great advice.

Today, with seven years of experience and having facilitating hundreds of events, there are notable factors and ways in which to build a truly transformational experience. In my experience, this includes the art of opening and closing, how to create a safe space, and how to prepare in a way that serves both yourself and your participants - without being stressed, overwhelmed, or unbalanced.

In this one-time-only and free Art of Facilitation Masterclass, I will share my top ten tips + tools for up-and-coming facilitators, teachers, guides, creatives, and anyone who has the desire to step into the art of facilitation - so that you too can facilitate with clarity, confidence, and courage.

For the yoga teacher who wants to expand your lessons. For the chef who wants to give cooking sessions For the coach who wants to start working with groups. For the artist who wants to share your craft. For the business boss who wants to lead a workshop. For the person who wants to host more meaningful dinner conversations.

We'll touch on topics including but not limited to:

Your Role in the Room  // Holding Space for Others // Preparation + Process // Balancing Energy

and my personal favorite...What Not To Do :)

Why join us?

If you're curious about facilitation...

If you're not sure where to start...

If you have something to share but aren't sure how...

If you're seeking to create more intentional spaces...

If you're craving a 'YOU GOT THIS' confidence boost...

If you'd like to meet a group of facilitators and share an evening of magic that might lead to a support system for future endeavors...

This is for you.

Facilitating spaces often means working solo. It can mean that you're the one creating content, marketing, recruiting, and hosting an event by yourself - and this can be tough to balance. But you don't need to do it alone.

Every person has their own way to lead, just like every person has their own way to learn. Yet how we choose to share information is the difference between transforming, or not. Our goal as facilitators is to bridge the gap. To ease the process. To create space for growth. To invite curiosity. To expand perspectives. To facilitate transformation.

In a world full of humans constantly seeking to develop, we must be centered, present, and grounded as facilitators in order to step fully and confidently into our roles, so that we may support the expansion, education, and continued evolution of our society.

If you'd like to share an evening of learning in a circle of light and leadership, you are warmly welcome to join us.

Meet Zo Flamenbaum

I was 11 years old when I first started event planning, hosting circles, and facilitating spaces. I didn't realize it then, but that season of surprise sleepover parties didn't plan and perfectly execute themselves! :)

Hostessing always came naturally to me, yet there was something about stepping into "The Official Facilitator" role which always made me feel that I didn't know enough. Yet I found myself event planning, hosting circles, and facilitating spaces. I made so many mistakes and learned so many lessons. The beauty is, that doesn't stop.

This is the nature of growth. This is why I show up every day to facilitate human growth processes to awaken our centers of personal power, foster mind body connection, and embolden the inner voice.

In 2014, I founded School of Shine as an educational resource for self empowerment, feminine leadership, and conscious community. Through SOS, I've led and collaborated on hundreds of workshops, festivals, circles, salons, panels, retreats, and thanks to 2020, online programs.

I've explored and experienced a wide spectrum of modalities, and I infuse the best bits and pieces into my work. My mission is to help women cultivate clarity, confidence, and courage to shed the layers of 'default life' and find person freedom to lead the life they want.

TESTIMONIALS

“I've participated in two writing workshops with Zo and she is an amazing facilitator. Not only did she encourage us to explore ourselves, but she discovered how to nurture our creativity and confidence. I recommend a School of Shine workshop to any woman of any age who has an interest in self-expression and a willingness to try something new!”

I absolutely loved the writing workshop with Zo. I arrived in a bit of a harried funk from a chaotic day in Tel Aviv, and left the workshop feeling centered, aligned, and with a noticeable creative buzz. Zo creates a safe, cozy, serene space for you to free whatever is asking to flow. Her fun and interesting exercises revealed to me new avenues of my personality, and writing, and gave me areas to further explore if I so choose. I learned both from the words that came out of me, and also the words that came out of the other amazing women who participated and shared. The workshop is perfect for writers and non-writers alike, for anyone seeking more clarity in their life and a creative outlet for expression. I can't wait for her next workshop!
