Fly With Your Wings

Freedom is something we want to have, did you ever want to have wings that could take you to your highest potential? Ok so we don’t have real wings, but confidence in our abilities and will power to do things are our eternal wings. We have the power to achieve our own freedom. Life is a precious gift given to us by God and we need to relish it entirely. Most of us devote majority of valuable years of life thinking that we will be able to enjoy freedom some day. But when will that day ever appear?

Being social creatures and living in a society; we all are loaded with responsibilities. Our fears play a major role in hindering our freedom. Nobody but ourselves can achieve our freedom. To lead a life like a bird you need to fly at your own pace, and you’ll automatically feel like you are flying high.

First, try giving little time every day to do what you like; it may be 15-20 minutes. Whatever you like doing but, you don’t otherwise do it for any reason or excuse. Now is the time, the pleasure that you will get of this leisure will give you freedom. The joy of those few minutes will make your rest of the day worth living. For me, it is half an hour walk time and one hour of writing that sets me free.

Second, try getting rid of your fears. Sometimes it is our fear that propels us reach to milestones. The famous Michael Jordan said, "I've missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. Twenty-six times I've been trusted to take the game-winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed." His point is that failure might be your biggest fear, but it ultimately leads you to success. If you dare to take a step forward to overcome your fear you may later specialize in it and make it your skill.

Last but not the least, dare to dream to attain freedom. Many of us are afraid to dream big, because at the back of mind we don’t think we can do it. We are actually afraid to see beautiful dreams come true. Walt Disney, a global cultural icon, says, ‘’ All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.’’ Can you believe he was rejected by a publishing house for ‘lack of imagination’? He has proved his special imaginations to the world. As the saying goes ‘’Aim high to reach high”. To achieve freedom, you have to dream big.

It is the religion of our soul is to have freedom. Yes, it is our birthright and nobody can take it away from us. Although, if you feel you don’t have your freedom then go get it. Once you taste the flavor of freedom, you will lead to happy and successful life. And without it even a lavish life would be barren. To leave you with one final quote, Thomas Jefferson said, “I prefer dangerous freedom over peaceful slavery.”
