RULES ARE MADE TO BE BROKEN. BUT NOT THESE ONES, MMMK?

 

Hello lovelies! It's our pleasure to introduce you to THE CIRCLE OF SHINE (said in a lovingly booming voice). We take our sense of safety and community seriously, and we ask that you read and follow the guidelines below. 

 

Anyone who does not follow these guidelines will get one warning and is otherwise likely to get booted - because ain't nobody got time for that.

 

The Aim

 

1. To provide an open and positive space to connect with women worldwide 

2. To talk woman to woman and productively discuss ways we can lead the way to positive change - for ourselves, for our daughters, and for our communities

3. To inspire, empower, support & uplift one another when we need it 

 

 

The Aim is NOT 

 

1. To bash men, or anyone else. Yes, sometimes we get angry too. However, Circle of Shine is a space to discuss issues we, as women, can control and take responsibility for - not the ones we can't.  

2. To complain about your day. If you have an issue, need advice, or have a question, by all means share it. But we're trying to focus on the positive, remember?

3. To attack others because you don't agree with them. We're about accepting everyone in a non-judgemental way. It's about listening to one another's perspectives - not arguing about them. 

 

 

General Posting Guidelines

 

• Always use search first. A similar conversation to what you want may already exist.

• Introduce yourself.

• Welcome new members.

• Don't be afraid to share. We've created a safe and positive space for that reason exactly.

• Be supportive and positive. 

• If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it. (There is a difference between being mean and being constructive. If you need help deciphering between the two, talk to us first.) 

 

 

Starting a New Conversation

 

• Be detailed in your topic title

• Introduce yourself

• Share your AIM & WHY you started the convo

• Should you see anything inappropriate, please contact us immediately. 

 

 

Becoming a Conversation Leader

 

• Talk to us if you would like to take an active role in changing the conversation.
